Bio
Denise Goodberlet is a doctoral prepared, board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of experience in health care. Denise has been a long-time resident of the area. She is passionate about giving back to the community who helped make her who she is today. After receiving her AAS in Nursing from Genesee Community College, she became a cardiothoracic nurse at Rochester General Heart Institue for 15 years while she earned her BSN from Roberts Wesleyan University and two masters degrees from St. John Fisher University. After completing her post masters in Family Nurse Practitioner, she transitioned to emergency and urgent care medicine along with primary care and women's health for over 6 years until she was recruited to the Buffalo area to resume her passion in Cardiothoracic Surgery. After obtaining her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Liberty University, she recognized that there was a discrepancy between the traditional approach to health care and what patients really wanted. Denise is dedicated to providing individually personalized healthcare while incorporating education to optimize wellness in a safe, confidential and warm caring environment.
Outside of her practice, Denise is a wife, mother and grandmother of 7 beautiful grandchildren and a woman of strong faith. She and her husband have raised 4 successful children. She is a diehard Pittsburgh Penguins fan as well as a Rochester Americans fan and loves boating in the 1000 Islands. Denise has a diverse background and equally diverse life passions which she intends to incorporate in her practice.
